  KUMASI  — In a major breakthrough against violent crime networks, the Ashanti South Regional Police Command has dismantled a notorious criminal syndicate in an intense, intelligence-led operation.   The high-stakes mission resulted in the arrest of a prominent car-snatching kingpin, the deaths of two armed gang members during a fierce gun battle, and the recovery of high-powered assault weapons. Coordinated Raid Turns Fatal According to detailed briefings from the Regional Command led by DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, the police operation was initially launched to track a dangerous robbery network operating along volatile transit paths, including the Obuasi–Manso Nyinahin stretch.
