A wave of frustration and desperation has swept through the Adum PZ market in Kumasi, where traders, devastated by a recent fire, have rejected food donations offered by the Interior Minister and Asawase Member of Parliament, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka. The victims, who lost their livelihoods in the blaze, are vehemently demanding financial assistance to rebuild their businesses, emphasizing that immediate monetary support is far more crucial than temporary relief items. The destructive fire, which erupted on March 21, 2025, ravaged numerous shops and stalls, leaving countless traders in a state of financial ruin and emotional distress.
