Tension Escalates in Gulf Waters: Vessel Seized Off Fujairah Coast

  14th May, 2026 Read More FUJAIRAH, UAE  – Regional maritime security concerns intensified on Thursday, May 14, 2026, following reports that a vessel was boarded and seized by unauthorized personnel near the coast of Fujairah. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed the incident, which occurred approximately 38 nautical miles northeast of the strategic bunkering hub. According to maritime security analysts, the vessel—identified by industry sources as the Honduras-flagged fishery research ship  Hui Chuan —was at anchor when it was boarded. Following the seizure, the vessel reportedly altered course toward Iranian territorial waters and ceased transmitting its Automated Identification System (AIS) data. UCC Sends Vital Message To All Students Of 3- Sem And 5-Sem Sandwich Degree Program. What Students Must Do Before 26th May.

The management of the university of cape coast(UCC) in charge of academic affairs has issued a vital message to all their 3-semester Top up and 5-Semester sandwich students offering bachelor’s degrees in Basic and secondary programs.

According to the management “All students are required to log into their students portal now to upload their passport picture for processing of student’s IDs card”.

According to the university this is to enable the large number of students who didn’t get their student’s IDs to get their ID cards.

The  exercise will also help to correct the mistake that occurs when Students were made to take their passport picture in their various Centre. 

The deadline for this exercise is 26th May, 2021.

I. JPEG photo format

ii. White background

ii. 640 pixels x 480 pixels dimension

Note: Changes cannot be made after  uploading your passport picture so every Student should ensure that the right thing is done before the deadline.
