Read more The Municipal chief executive for the Nkoranza South Municipal Hon Daniel Owuredu has  called on the people of the area to stay calm and count on the President promise of getting the police return to duty in the area. The police Service vacated post after the death of one Albert Donkor that also led to a bloody protest leading to the death of another one person. In may this year, protesters besieged the Nkoranza Police station and vandalized property and also discharged suspects who were in police custody. In line with this, the inspector general of police Akuffo Dampare visited the area to mediate peace between residents and the police. Subsequently, police withdrew their services in the area and residents had to travel to Techiman and other places to make official complains. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the resumption of its teacher recruitment process after successfully addressing the concerns related to the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). In a letter dated October 31, 2024, the Director-General of GES, Dr. Eric Nkansah, informed all Regional Directors of Education that the updated master list now reflects only qualified candidates. As a result, the recruitment process will recommence on November 7, 2024 , and is set to conclude by November 9, 2024 . The GES has instructed recruits, particularly those from the College of Education, to report to their respective regional education offices during this period with the following documents: original appointment letters and valid identification .
