The Ghana Education Service (GES) is now accepting applications for its 2025 promotion exercise. This opportunity is open to eligible officers and teachers seeking to advance to the ranks of Deputy DirectorAssistant Director IAssistant Director II, or Principal Superintendent.


Eligibility and Requirements

To be considered for promotion, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Years in Rank: You must have been appointed, promoted, or upgraded to your current rank on or before 2020.

  • Academic Qualification: You can also qualify if you obtained an approved Master’s or PhD degree on or before 2022.


Application Process and Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit their applications along with the following documents. Please note the specific file formats for each.

  • Recent Passport-Sized Photo: A clear photo in JPEG or PNG format.

  • Last Promotion/Upgrading/Appointment Letter: A scanned copy in PDF format.

  • Highest Academic Certificate: A scanned copy of the certificate you are using to apply for the promotion, in PDFformat.




Important Submission Guidelines

  • All submitted documents, except for the photo, must be in PDF format and must be clear and readable.

  • All file names must be your Staff ID. For example, if your Staff ID is 1234567, you would name your files 1234567.pdf and 1234567.jpeg (for your photo).

  • Incomplete or non-compliant applications will be disqualified. It is crucial to follow all instructions carefully to ensure your application is successful.
