Recent remarks made by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, running mate to Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia, represent a clear and dangerous attempt to sow discord within Kusaug. In a viral video, Napo falsely accuses H.E. John Dramani Mahama of plotting to divide the Kusasi and Mamprusi people, along with other tribes, should he return to office. These baseless claims are not only deceptive and irresponsible, but they also have the potential to inflame tensions and destabilize the peace we are striving to maintain in the area. Such reckless rhetoric must be unequivocally condemned. The people of Kusaug have closely followed the commitments of various political leaders regarding our area’s future.
