OPEN LETTER TO THE SIX HONORABLE MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT IN KUSAUG

Dear Honorable Members,

I write to you not as an individual but as a voice for the many concerned citizens of Kusaug who are deeply troubled by your prolonged silence on the ongoing conflict in Bawku. You were elected to be our representatives, our advocates, and our defenders. Yet, as the conflict in Bawku continues to claim innocent lives and disrupt livelihoods, your silence has been deafening.

Honorable Members, where are your voices? Where are your actions? The people of Kusaug entrusted you with their votes because they believed in your ability to lead, to influence, and to bring peace. Yet, at this crucial moment when your leadership is most needed, you have remained absent from the fight for justice and peace in Bawku.

Every day that justice is delayed, more lives are lost. Every moment that decisive action is not taken, families are torn apart, and our people live in fear. The conflict in Bawku has persisted for far too long, and the consequences have been devastating. Schools have shut down, businesses have collapsed, and the dreams of our youth are being shattered. This should not be happening under your watch.

What have you done to push for an end to this bloodshed? What concrete steps have you taken to ensure that the government takes decisive action? Have you met with the relevant authorities to demand accountability? Have you spoken boldly in Parliament about the suffering of your people? Or have you chosen to turn a blind eye to our pain?

The people of Kusaug deserve answers. We deserve leaders who will stand up for us, who will fight for our peace, and who will not rest until Bawku is safe again. The time for silence is over. The time for action is now. If you do not rise to this occasion, history will judge you, and the people will remember your failure to act when they needed you the most.

We demand that you speak up. We demand that you take urgent action. And we demand that you fulfill the mandate we gave you—to represent our interests, to secure our peace, and to ensure that justice is served.

The people are watching. History is watching. Do not fail us.

Sincerely,

[Mohammed Awam]

A Concerned Citizen of Kusaug
