Accra, Ghana – March 6, 2025 – The Ghana Education Service (GES) is taking proactive steps to refine its staffing database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for the benefit of all educators and students. A focused validation exercise is underway, designed to confirm the credentials of existing staff and solidify the foundation of Ghana's educational workforce.

This initiative, building upon a previous communication, aims to create a robust and reliable system for managing personnel records. The GES is committed to providing a seamless experience for its valued staff members, ensuring their contributions are accurately recognized and supported.

A Collaborative Approach to Data Integrity:

The GES is implementing a streamlined validation process, empowering regional teams to efficiently verify staff credentials. A dedicated three-member committee, comprising the Regional Human Resource Officer, Regional Internal Auditor, and Regional Accountant, will guide this collaborative effort.

To facilitate a smooth and timely process, staff members are requested to provide essential documentation, including:

  • Appointment Letter: Confirming their official employment.
  • Academic Certificates: Demonstrating their qualifications and expertise.
  • Licensure Certificate: Validating their professional teaching credentials.
  • National Service Certificate: Acknowledging their commitment to national service.

This focused approach allows the GES to update its records with precision, ensuring that every educator's valuable contributions are accurately reflected.

Empowering Educators, Strengthening Education:

The GES recognizes the dedication and hard work of its staff and is committed to providing a supportive and transparent process. By working together, the GES and its educators can create a stronger, more efficient educational system for the benefit of all Ghanaian students.

The validation exercise, scheduled for completion by March 14th, 2025, represents a significant step towards enhancing the integrity of the GES database. This initiative will ultimately contribute to a more stable and effective educational environment.

A Foundation for Future Success:

The GES is confident that this collaborative effort will strengthen the foundation of Ghana's education system. By ensuring accurate records and efficient processes, the GES is empowering educators to focus on what they do best: nurturing the next generation of leaders.

The GES appreciates the cooperation of all staff members and looks forward to a successful validation exercise. This proactive approach underscores the GES's commitment to excellence and its unwavering dedication to the advancement of education in Ghana.
