Accra, Ghana – President Mahama has invoked Article 146(6) of the Constitution to establish a committee tasked with investigating allegations leveled against the Chief Justice. This decision follows the President's determination that a prima facie case exists, necessitating further inquiry.     Article 146(6) of the Constitution mandates the formation of a committee to probe allegations against a Justice of a Superior Court when a preliminary examination reveals sufficient grounds for investigation. The committee, charged with a thorough and impartial examination of the petitions, comprises esteemed individuals from diverse sectors, ensuring a broad spectrum of expertise. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the resumption of its teacher recruitment process after successfully addressing the concerns related to the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). In a letter dated October 31, 2024, the Director-General of GES, Dr. Eric Nkansah, informed all Regional Directors of Education that the updated master list now reflects only qualified candidates. As a result, the recruitment process will recommence on November 7, 2024 , and is set to conclude by November 9, 2024 . The GES has instructed recruits, particularly those from the College of Education, to report to their respective regional education offices during this period with the following documents: original appointment letters and valid identification .
