  ACCRA  — In a major institutional move targeting structural modernization and workforce optimization, the Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters has officially ordered a nationwide audit and validation of all staff personal records . The initiative, structured as a comprehensive Job Evaluation Exercise, is being executed in tight collaboration with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) and the Public Services Commission (PSC) . According to an official memorandum dated June 8, 2026 (referenced as  My Ref. Ghana Reports 10 New Mpox Cases, Total Reaches 19

Ghana's Mpox case count has risen to 19 after the Ghana Health Service confirmed 10 new infections. Five individuals are currently hospitalized.

The newly confirmed cases have been identified in the Northern, Western, and Greater Accra Regions. Despite the increase in numbers, health authorities are urging the public not to panic, stating there is "no cause for alarm."

Sources indicate that training on Mpox is actively underway for staff at teaching and regional hospitals in Koforidua, Eastern Region. Additionally, contact tracing efforts are ongoing to identify and monitor individuals who may have been exposed to the virus.
