Gyamfi Sues Afia Schwarzenegger for GH¢10 Million Over Defamation

Accra, Ghana – Sammy Gyamfi, the Chief Executive Officer of Goldbod and National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has filed a GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit against media personality Afia Schwarzenegger. The suit was submitted to the High Court on Wednesday, July 23, following a series of alleged defamatory statements made by Schwarzenegger.

The core of the dispute revolves around allegations that Mr. Gyamfi purchased property in the United States for his wife or her alleged sister. Mr. Gyamfi has vehemently denied these claims, asserting that they are "false and malicious."

In his statement of claim, Gyamfi contends that Schwarzenegger's publications were deliberately crafted to damage his "hard-earned reputation" and portray him as "morally depraved." He further refutes claims of romantic involvement with students at the University of Ghana and denies ever buying vehicles for supposed girlfriends.
