BOLE SHS TEACHER PLEADING IN NEW VIRAL VIDEO, AS GES DEMANDS SWIFT POLICE ARREST AND PROSECUTION

Following the shocking revelations and widespread condemnation of the Bole Senior High School (Bole SHS) teacher-student scandal, new developments are rapidly emerging, heightening the urgency of the situation. A new video has surfaced online showing the dismissed teacher making a desperate, public plea for forgiveness, even as educational authorities are intensifying pressure for his criminal prosecution.

The "Apology" Video Surfaces

In a video currently circulating widely across social media platforms, the man identifies himself and confirms he was a teacher at Bole SHS. He is seen sitting in a red plastic chair, appearing agitated and pleading with both the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the general Ghanaian public. He explicitly mentions that he has already been dismissed from his post following the initial scandal.

The man, clearly attempting to appeal to public mercy, states that it was "never his intention" for the incident to occur. He makes a distinct plea to be given a second chance, suggesting that instead of being completely terminated from the GES,he be transferred to a remote, village school. The emotional plea in the video, captured shows his public attempt at damage control and regret.

GES Urges Swift Police Action

While the teacher seeks a reprieve through his public apology, the Ghana Education Service (GES) is taking a far firmer stance. Almost concurrently with the circulation of the plea video, official documents have emerged detailing the GES's latest actions.

A letter from the GES, addressed specifically to the Ghana Police Service, has been made public. In this letter, the education service does not soften its approach based on the man's apologies. Instead, the GES reiterates its core message of zero tolerance for such misconduct and explicitly requests the Ghana Police to be "swift" and "expedient" in arresting the dismissed teacher.

The letter urges the police to complete all necessary investigations and proceed to put the individual before a competent court of law for immediate prosecution. This step demonstrates that the GES views the incident not just as a breach of professional ethics, which resulted in his dismissal, but as a criminal offense that must be addressed through the justice system.

Escalation and Public Scrutiny

The emergence of the plea video, contrasting sharply with the formal demand for prosecution from the GES, adds a dramatic twist to this already severe case. While some on social media have debated the authenticity of the teacher's remorse, the overriding public response remains one of severe criticism, supporting the GES's push for legal accountability. Educational advocacy groups have reaffirmed that professional dismissal is not an alternative to criminal justice, especially where students are involved.

The situation continues to dominate discussion, with all eyes now on the Ghana Police Service to see how quickly they can act on the GES's formal request.
