Jealousy Sparks Violent Machete Attack on Teen Okada Rider in Diaso
An 18-year-old commercial motorcyclist (okada rider) in Diaso, located in the Central Region, is recovering from injuries after a misunderstanding over a young woman escalated into a violent confrontation.
The victim, Yaw Boakye (popularly known as "Killer Ntua"), detailed the harrowing experience in an interview with Daily View GH reporter Dan Kwasi Prince.
How the Dispute Began
According to Boakye, the friction started earlier that day at a local okada station:
The Incident: A food vendor identified as Perpetual—the suspect's girlfriend—allegedly sat on Boakye's lap.
The Reaction: Boakye stated that he immediately pushed her away and warned her not to do it again.
The Retaliation: Feeling offended by the rejection, Perpetual reportedly complained about the encounter to her boyfriend, Enoch (also known as "Awoye").
The Ambush and Assault
The situation turned physical later that afternoon:
The Confrontation: At approximately 3:00 p.m., while Boakye was returning from his farm alongside his parents, Enoch allegedly intercepted them using a vehicle, nearly striking Boakye.
The Attack: Enoch confronted the teenager, warning him to stay away from Perpetual, before allegedly attacking him with a machete.
The Outcome: The victim claimed that although the suspect repeatedly tried to inflict severe, deep wounds with the weapon, the machete miraculously failed to penetrate his body.
