Father Accuses St. Rose's SHS of Negligence in Daughter's Death
Akwatia, Ghana – A heartbroken father, Mark Kwadjo Gyemerah-Boateng, is accusing St. Rose’s Senior High School in Akwatia of gross negligence, which he claims led to the tragic death of his 15-year-old daughter, Beatrice Akua Gyamerah-Boateng. The distraught father alleges the school failed to provide timely medical attention to Beatrice, despite her persistent complaints of a severe headache.
According to Mr. Gyemerah-Boateng, his daughter remained on the school campus for four days as her condition steadily deteriorated. It was only after she collapsed that she was finally rushed to the hospital. Tragically, it was too late, and Beatrice passed away shortly after her arrival.
"I believe that my daughter died because of their negligence," a grieving Mr. Gyemerah-Boateng stated, holding the school directly responsible for his daughter's untimely demise. He contends that the school's inaction, or delayed action, was a direct contributing factor to her death.
In the wake of this tragedy, Mr. Gyemerah-Boateng has vowed to pursue legal action. He intends to report the case to the police and, armed with a police report, will formally notify all relevant educational bodies, including the Ghana Education Service and the Minister of Education.
"I am going to summon the school’s administration to come and answer," he asserted, determined to get justice for his daughter and hold the school accountable for what he describes as a profound failure in their duty of care.
