Authorities of Opoku Ware School (OWASS) have revealed the identity of three of their students who have been arrested for allegedly engaging in armed robbery. The suspects include; Akwasi Adu Donkor, Owusu Appiah Donkor and Asubonteng Osei Kwadwo. According to the school, the three had been deboardenized for various offences in the school prior to the latest criminal act. According to the school’s administration, these young boys have been taken through all measures to ensure that they are reformed but they have refused to change from their bad ways. Three final year students of the Opoku Ware Senior High School have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident in Kumasi. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the resumption of its teacher recruitment process after successfully addressing the concerns related to the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). In a letter dated October 31, 2024, the Director-General of GES, Dr. Eric Nkansah, informed all Regional Directors of Education that the updated master list now reflects only qualified candidates. As a result, the recruitment process will recommence on November 7, 2024 , and is set to conclude by November 9, 2024 . The GES has instructed recruits, particularly those from the College of Education, to report to their respective regional education offices during this period with the following documents: original appointment letters and valid identification .
