READ NDC NEW EDUCATIONAL REFORMS

Read more   President  John Dramani Mahama  has unveiled plans to organise two major national conferences aimed at addressing key challenges in Ghana’s governance and education sectors. Speaking at the 92nd Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana in Winneba on Thursday, January 9, he outlined initiatives to strengthen the justice system and improve the education landscape. Mr Mahama revealed plans to establish a committee to prepare for a National Constitutional Review Validation Conference. The conference will seek to reignite discussions on the stalled constitutional review process, build consensus on proposed amendments, and promote judicial independence. “To this end, the new NDC administration is resolutely committed to strengthening our justice system. *UPDATE ON THE KOMEPIENGA AND BAGRE DAM AS AT SATURDAY, AUGUST, 27 2022 BAWKU WEST DISTRICT NADMO COORDINATOR*

 *INTRODUCTION*  There are two Dams in Burkina Faso that has their tributaries joining in Ghana at Galaka -Gbeogo (confluence). These two Dams are Komepieng Dam and Bagre Dam respectively. These two Dams are tributaries of the White Volta River and provide water for the downstream countries like Ghana. Any time there is overflow or Spillage of these Dams the impact is on downstream countries.  There is a raising filling rate of these Dams as a result of torrential rains in the southern part of Burkina Faso hence a possible Spillage of the Bagre Dam. Below is an update on the water levels at both Dams.   1. *KOMEPIENGA DAM UPDATE*  The upstream level on Saturday,  August, 27 2022, was 175.22m. Write your free articles A young man who is believed to be in his early 20s is alleged to have killed 3 women at Tampaala in the Jirapa Municipality of the Upper West Region Of Ghana. It is reported that he committed the crime using a pounding pestle. Add your comments According to sources, the incident happened yesterday at about 7pm on Tuesday evening. It is not clear what triggered that cannibalism but some have pointed fingers at the mental health of the victim.  The bodies were conveyed to Jirapa for medical examination and confirmation after which they were released to the bereaved families for mourning and burial. AHAFO REGIONAL EDUCATION DIRECTORATE LAMENTS ABOUT THE LACK OF INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE EDIFICE

The director of the Ahafo  regional education directorate has called on authorities to aid them in what she described as complete lack of relevant facilities and infrastructure for the directorate. She made the call during the Regional Reading Festival at Acherensua Senior High School in the Ahafo Region. Metro tv's Ahafo Regional Correspondent Ibrahim Abode, went there filled and this report. The Ahafo Regional Education Director Ms Lucy Ama Ankra has appealed to able organisations to come to the aid of the directorate to get relevant furniture to furnish the office. She mentioned that, though the directorate is an infant one, it  lacks relevant facilities and logistics to operate. She said when assisted, the directorate would achieve it's major aim.   As the major opposition party, NDC, is preparing to hold its Constituency executives elections in the various 275 constituencies across Ghana, many individuals are out to grab slots for themselves. In the Upper East Region, there are 15 constituencies within that catchment area. That region is one of the strongholds of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The region gave NDC about fifteen seats out of sixteen parliamentary seats in the 2020 elections. Authorities of Opoku Ware School (OWASS) have revealed the identity of three of their students who have been arrested for allegedly engaging in armed robbery. The suspects include; Akwasi Adu Donkor, Owusu Appiah Donkor and Asubonteng Osei Kwadwo. According to the school, the three had been deboardenized for various offences in the school prior to the latest criminal act. According to the school’s administration, these young boys have been taken through all measures to ensure that they are reformed but they have refused to change from their bad ways. Three final year students of the Opoku Ware Senior High School have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident in Kumasi. Sources at the Ashanti Central Divisional Command say the three students, aged between 17 and 19 years, failed in their attempt to snatch a taxi cab from its driver on Friday night.
